I love your idea, and would be happy to buy a pie and support CancerCare sometime after you calm down a little. My mom has ovarian cancer, and her pecan pies are one of my favorite things. I thought about making one for Thanksgiving (she's in England, and can't come, but I'm hosting the rest of the family), but am sticking to pumpkin and apple. Somehow I don't feel I can live up to hers, you know?

dmf: one song from Oklahoma! does have "pie" in it, the Cockeyed Optimist song:

(the line that's missing is "I'm as straight as a 3-dollar bill")
d'oh, correction. that song is from "South Pacific" and it's that "wonderful guy" song.
